THE FAKE ELECTORS: A SUMMARY

Trump and Republicans in 7 battleground States tried to manipulate the Electoral College to falsely declare Trump the winner of the 2020 Presidential Election.

As we know, the popular vote does not determine the American Presidency - it only dictates how the Electors in each State should be casting their electoral votes. The Electors, altogether, make up the Electoral College. A Presidential candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win.

The Constitution does not specifically require Presidential Electors to vote in line with their State's popular vote. This is what Trump and Republicans looked to exploit as they engaged in the 2020 Fake Electors scheme across Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Republicans - including Trump's Fake Electors - took various actions in the 7 States to disgrace the Constitution and the sacred Right to Vote. Essentially, the scheme was for Trump's Fake Electors to vote for Trump to elect him as President - by falsely declaring him the winner in States Biden had unquestionably won: AZ, GA, MI, NV, NM, PA, WI.
